Darts and Betting Online

Following successful World Championship campaigns, several new names will feature in this year’s PDC World Series of Darts.

There is no place like the World Championship stage to make your name in the world of darts and the British love to see an underdog do well. Players that play heart and passion will always win the crowd over, and the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship was no acceptation.

Nathan AspinallOne of the new kids on the block is Nathan Aspinall. Nathan made it through to the semi-final stage in the World Championship and made a few punters an extra few quid as he defied the odds to claim victory after victory. The sport betting lines at 888 sportsbook don’t usually call the odds wrong, but in darts sometimes the underdog prevails.

Many fans thought Nathan Had done enough to secure a Premier League spot. However, there were some other great performances from other new stars that prevented Nathan from gaining a starting sport. It was, however, the withdrawal of Gary Anderson that gave Nathan along with eight other hopefuls the opportunity to play in the toughest league in darts.

Along with Nathan, Chris Dobey, Steve Lennon, Luke Humphries John, Henderson, Max Hopp, Jeffrey de Zwaan, Dimitri van den Bergh and the three-time BDO World Champion, Glen Durrant joined the line-up as Premier League ‘Contenders’. Each player played just the one round replacing an injured Gary Anderson. It allowed each of the players to play in front of some of the biggest darts crowds in the World and experience new dart venues they would not commonly have played in before.

World Series Players

Thre are some notable PDC players to watch out for besides the World No.1 Michael van Gerwen.

The Australian sensation Corey Cadby, expect this young player to do well and the more seasoned player Raymond van Barneveld who is in his retirement year.

Barney is always a crowd pleaser but recently has fallen down the PDC Order of Merit. His place in the Premier League was a little controversial as many thought others should have taken his place. However, you can never write of the five-time World Darts Champion, and we hope he does well.
